2024: Sibanthracite left the company's owners

At the end of May 2024, the coal mining giant Sibanthracite left the co-owners of a large Kuzbass coal mining asset - Kiyzassky Open Pit LLC. This is evidenced by the data of the Unified State Register of Legal Entities.

The group was sold by Pechora Mining Company LLC (PGK), through which it controlled almost 10% of the stake in Kiizassky. At the end of 2023, the revenue of this mine exceeded 65 billion rubles, and net profit - 16.7 billion rubles.

PGK 100% came under the control of Stroymediagrupp LLC, the beneficiary of which is Alexey Pestryaev. Earlier, PGK through a chain of companies belonged to the owner of Sibanthracite - Sibkapital LLC.

Kiizassky is no longer mentioned as an asset of the Sibanthracite group on its official website, which indicates that it has left the co-owners of this enterprise.

Kiizassky is one of the largest coal mining mines in Kuzbass. According to the site of the enterprise, at the beginning of 2024, its balance reserves of coal amounted to 97.6 million tons, and in 2023 the volume of production reached 7.1 million tons.

By the end of May 2024, two Cypriot companies own the remaining 90% shares in Sezit Kiizassky: Allevia Investments Limited controls about 50%, and Hillestrato Investments Limited - 40%.

Sibanthracite "did not comment on the reasons for the sale of PGK and its current status regarding Kiizassky. The group specializes in the production and export supply of anthracite and other types of metallurgical coals. In 2022, the total coal production by Sibanthracite enterprises amounted to 24.55 million tons, but in 2023 the group did not disclose general data on production, with the exception of the indicators of the Verkhneteshsky open-pit mine, which produced 1 million tons of T. grade coal as part of Sibanthracite - open-pit mines and enrichment plants in the Novosibirsk and Kemerovo regions[1]
