2025: Creation of a device for receiving gold jewelry. It automatically determines the sample and issues money
In China, specialized machines for receiving gold jewelry have been put into operation, which independently determine the sample of the precious metal and make an instant payment of funds to the owner. This became known in April 2025, when videos with the work of these devices began to be actively distributed on social networks.
According to the Economic Times, these innovative devices, unofficially called "golden ATMs," were developed and presented by the Chinese jewelry company Kinghood Group. The emergence of such devices is associated with global instability and rising prices for precious metals in world markets.
The process of operation of machines is simple and efficient. The user places a gold jewelry weighing from 3 grams to 1 kilogram in a special compartment of the device, while the origin and manufacturer of the jewelry do not matter. Next, the machine analyzes the product for about three minutes, determining its weight and gold sample with high accuracy.
After the diagnostic stage, the device proceeds to the smelting process, which takes about 30 minutes. Simultaneously with the start of swimming, the user is transferred funds to the specified bank account. To correctly calculate the cost and conduct transactions in various currencies, the devices are integrated with local markets of precious metals and payment systems.
The general manager of the Kinghood trademark in Shenzhen, Xiao Yingjie, confirmed that in order to simplify settlements, data exchange with local precious metal markets and various payment systems has been implemented in major world currencies. The Precious Metals Market Association of London praised the speed of service provided by the new devices.
Currently, "golden ATMs" are installed in several large cities of China, including Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Macau, Hong Kong and Shanghai. Chinese consumers are generally positive about the innovation, noting that such devices make gold operations more reliable and transparent.[1]
