2024: Discovery

At the end of August 2025, a new ice palace was opened in the city of Kogalym in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug - Ugra (Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug). The sports complex was named "Kogalym Arena."

The Ice Palace provides 12,500 square metres of sports space. On the territory of the complex there is an ice arena, halls for curling, choreography and fitness, as well as gyms and comfortable locker rooms. On the basis of the Kogalym Arena, tournaments of various levels in hockey, figure skating and other sports can be held.

The complex was built with the support of the Ministry of Sports of Russia, the Government of Ugra and Lukoil. The opening of the ice palace is timed to coincide with the 50th anniversary of Kogalym, one of the key oil production centers in Russia.

Kogalym today is a dynamically developing center where traditions and modern technologies are combined. With the support of our good friend and reliable partner, Lukoil, new residential complexes and unique social facilities are being built. All this creates decent conditions for the life and work of people, raising children and strengthening family values, - said the Governor of Ugra Ruslan Kukharuk.

In addition, the opening of a number of other facilities created with the support of the Our Future Foundation and Lukoil is timed to coincide with the half-century anniversary of the city. This, in particular, is the park of the 50th anniversary of Kogalym, occupying an area of ​ ​ more than 200 thousand square meters. On the territory there is an artificial lake, an all-season complex with tubing slides of 72 and 35 meters, sports grounds, outdoor simulators, a skatepark and table tennis tables. In addition, walking trails, bike paths, recreation areas and a large playground are equipped. Thematic zones "Silver lace," "Reindeer" and "Rowan Square" are provided[1]
