JSC Kondopoga is among the enterprises of the Russian Federation specializing in production of newsprint. JSC Kondopoga is one of the largest producers of newsprint in Russia. The share of the enterprise in the Russian market of producers of newsprint makes 38.8 percent. For 2010 at the enterprise 772 thousand tons of all paper, including newspaper - 760.8 thousand tons are developed. The development gain on newsprint to the level of 2009 made 12.3 thousand tons or 1.6%. Newsprint supply rate in 2010 increased in comparison with 2009 by 8906 tons or for 1.2%. Production of technical lignosulphonates was 126.7 thousand tons, the gain to the level of 2009 made 10.1%. Development of fodder yeast in connection with decrease in demand for these products in 2010 decreased and made 2.7 thousand tons that is 7.5% less in comparison with 2009. In 2010 it is developed self-produced semi-finished products: cellulose on cooking - 113.6 thousand tons, wood pulp - 637.5 thousand tons. Production of own electric power in 2010 was 593 million kWh.

History

• 1923 - Under the special resolution of Council of Work and Defense of Council of People's Commissars of RSFSR against April 26, 1921 signed by V.I. Lenin in Kondopoga construction of paper-mill began.
• On June 27, 1929 - launch of the first paper machine took place. For half a year of work 5 thousand tons of newsprint were produced.
• 1940 - The paper-mill turned into the enterprise with the finished production cycle. In the years of war the city of Kondopoga and plant were destroyed.
• 1947 - The first post-war paper is issued.
• 1951 - The enterprise completely recovered the pre-war power.
• 1959 - The plant turns into the big building site. Kondopoga is announced by All-Union shock Komsomol building.
• 1960-1965 - are put into operation paper machines No. No. 6, 5, 4, 7.
• 1969 - Kondopozhtsa won the right to mark paper the state quality label.
• 1971 - The paper plant Kondopoga tsellyulozno is awarded the highest state award - the Order of Lenin.
• 1976-1980 - serious expansion of plant happens. On paper machine No. 9, the first high-speed large-format domestic car, the first paper was received on October 3, 1977. In the middle of January, 1978 all production flow of "nine" became operational.
• On April 27, 1981 - the new large-format paper machine of Voith company is put into operation. The machine is capable to produce 187 thousand tons of newsprint a year with a trim width of 8400 mm, with a range of weight of one square meter from 40 to 48.8 grams.
• in the summer of 1981 - the pilot batch of paper weighing 48.8 grams per square meter, on the seventh paper machine is released. This paper tested in Moscow Truth publishing house received a good review of printers.
• 1983 - Are put into operation of a construction of biological cleaning of industrial drains of plant. It allowed to save in purity of water of Lake Onega.
• October 23, 1992 - The enterprise is transformed to Joint-stock company. In recent years all paper machines and the equipment of other productions passed several stages of upgrade. The computerization of workshops and departments is performed. Bummashina No. 1 is completely updated. Slitting machines are replaced or reconstructed, the upper forming devices on bummashina No. No. 1, 4, 7, 9 are installed, reconstruction of press parts bummashin is carried out No. 4 and No. 7, new sortings on bummashina No. 1 and No. 4 are set. Are replaced by an APCS, the automated system of accounting of the developed products with a barcode is implemented.
• In July, 2003 - the new modern high-speed paper machine No. 10 capable to issue 157 thousand tons of newsprint a year is put into operation.
• 2004 - The Suoyarvsky cardboard factory was a part of JSC Kondopoga. The construction of the Petrozavodsk-Kondopoga gas pipeline is completed. Conversion of boilers of the industrial boiler house of TPP to gaseous fuel began.
• 2005 - Four boilers are transferred to gas.
• from 2005 to 2010 - within the implementable long-term program of modernization of the enterprise there took place upgrade of many important nodes in workshops of the main and auxiliary production.
