2024: Collapse of the interfloor floor, death of a health worker
On the night of October 12-13, 2024 Krasnodar Territory Russia , an interfloor floor collapsed in a neuropsychiatric dispensary in the city of Korenovsk, as a result of which an employee of medical personnel died. The building, according to preliminary estimates, cannot be restored.
According to TASS, the incident was reported at 01:15 Moscow time. The collapse occurred in the lobby of the main building of the dispensary, located at the address: Buvaltseva Street, 87A. The collapse area was about 100 square meters.
In a psychiatric dispensary inAs a result of the incident, a nurse of a neuropsychiatric dispensary was allegedly killed, whose body was found under the rubble. 198 patients and 8 employees were evacuated from the building, a total of 206 people. All evacuees were placed in other buildings of the dispensary.
The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under the article on negligence (part 2 of article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The prosecutor's office of the Korenovsky district organized an inspection of the circumstances of the incident. Investigators are working on the spot, an examination has been scheduled to establish the causes of the collapse.
The Minister of Labor and Social Development of the Krasnodar Territory Sergei Garkusha and the mayor of Korenovsk Maxim Shutylev arrived at the scene of the emergency. They coordinate the work of operational services and resolve the issues of accommodation of evacuated patients.
The dispensary building was two-story. After the collapse, the scene was cordoned off for investigative measures. An investigation into the causes of the collapse is ongoing. It is expected that the results of the examination will help establish whether there were violations in the operation of the building or its structures that could lead to tragedy.
The Main Directorate of the Russian Emergencies Ministry for the Krasnodar Territory informs that in case of an emergency, it is necessary to immediately contact emergency services.[1]
