2020: Arrest of top managers for sale of ventilators with expired life
On July 23, 2020 the October court of Vladimir sent under arrest of top managers of the Kostroma Iatrotechnics company which delivered to the enterprises ventilators with expired 15 years ago life. Defendants Andrey Gerasimov and Oksana Ryzhova will spend not less than two months to the pre-trial detention center.
According to the investigation, Gerasimov and Ryzhova, knowing that FAZA-5NR ventilators are released during 1995-2001 and their registration certificate works till November 24, 2008 and also that according to the form, the technical description and the operating instruction the term of their storage in packaging expired, sold them to a large number of the organizations in the territory of the Vladimir region.
In particular, the equipment in number of 50 pieces with a total cost of 6 million rubles under the guise of the charitable help were delivered in hospital No. 6 of the city of Vladimir. Total amount of deliveries was 10.84 million rubles.
At the same time the producer of devices the Ural instrument-making plant informed investigators that operation of devices is impossible because of the expiration of all possible storage lives.
Thus, unidentified persons from among the management of limited liability company perform sale in a large size of the poor-quality medical products posing hazard to life and health of citizens at their use for the intended purpose — reports Investigation department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation across the Kostroma region. |
Against the management of "The Kostroma iatrotechnics" proceedings on the Paragraph "and" of Part 2 of Article 238.1 (the address of the counterfeited, substandard and unregistered medicines, medical products and turnover of counterfeited dietary supplements) and Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal code of the Russian Federation (fraud) are initiated.[1]
