Former chairman of the board of directors and board of JSC Kranbank Vasily Belov in May 2025 was sentenced by the court to 6 years and 6 months in prison in a general regime correctional colony for embezzlement of more than ₽80 million from the bank. 1993: Establishing a bank

JSC "Kranbank" (CJSC) was registered by the Bank of Russia on January 28, 1993, the license of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation No. 2271 is valid indefinitely.

The shareholders of JSC Kranbank (CJSC) are seven enterprises of Russia and four individuals. The activities of the main shareholders - large enterprises are related to the production of lifting and sealing equipment. Kranbank is TOP-300 in the all-Russian rating of banks in terms of "deposits" and "loan portfolio."

According to RIA Rating, Kranbank occupies the following positions in the ranking of Russian banks for 9 months of 2014: 240th place in terms of deposits, 292nd place in terms of loan portfolio, 355th place in terms of net assets

On November 6, 2014, the Expert RA rating agency (RAEX) confirmed the credit rating of JSC Kranbank (CJSC) at level A - "High level of creditworthiness," the third sublevel, the forecast is "stable."

The bank has a developed network of branches, which is represented by 16 branches in the Ivanovo region and an operating office in Moscow. The bank occupies confident positions in the financial market of the Ivanovo region. Among the credit institutions of the Ivanovo region, according to the results of 9 months of 2014, JSC Kranbank (CJSC) is the leader in terms of: bank capital, loan debt, deposit portfolio. There are more than 2,000 legal entities and individual entrepreneurs in the bank, about 200 of them are credited. 10,000 savers trust Kranbank with their savings. The Bank serves more than 2,800 accounts of individuals intended for receiving pensions, social benefits and other regular payments.

Kranbank's clients have access to Golden Crown transfers to 19 countries of the world in rubles, US dollars and euros. In Russia, the transfer fee is 1%, but not more than 1 thousand rubles; to other countries - from 0.5% depending on the amount of the transfer and the direction of the transaction.

2019: License Revocation

The license from Kranbank was revoked by the Bank of Russia on December 13, 2019, due to the fact that the bank conducted operations with signs of asset withdrawal and violated the laws governing banking activities.

Payments of insurance compensation to depositors of Kranbank JSC will begin on December 23, the press service of the state corporation Deposit Insurance Agency reported. Sberbank was chosen as the agent bank for the payment of insurance compensation to depositors of JSC Kranbank.

Payments will be received by both individuals and individual entrepreneurs, as well as legal entities with the status of small enterprises. Refunds will be paid during the year, and then until the date of completion of bankruptcy proceedings.

As specified in the DIA, insurance compensation will be carried out in three constituent entities of the Russian Federation, including the Ivanovo region. According to the register of obligations of JSC Kranbank, the amount of compensation is estimated at 6.3 billion rubles, about 13.7 thousand depositors can apply for payments.
