Launch of R&D Park'a under GenerationS

The company adheres to the principle of open innovation and attracts the competence of third-party organizations - research institutions, innovative companies, startups - to solve business problems based on R&D Park, which is a platform for interaction between science, business and production

On August 29, 2017, the Russian manufacturer of precious metals Krastsvetmet announced the launch of the GenerationS startup accelerator from RVC. R&D Park, Krastsvetmet's platform for the creation and transfer of technologies in the field of precious metals, has become an investment partner of the Mining & Metals track.

Within the framework of the Mining & Metals track, Krastsvetmet selects startups in the areas of refining, production of products using precious metals (including medical applications), as well as technologies that replace their use, environmental technologies in metallurgy and energy efficiency, automation of technological processes, automation, enrichment technologies and more. The partner's specialists will take an active part in the acceleration program, help technological entrepreneurs test and prepare developments for introduction into production. Projects selected by the track partner will take part in the R&D Park'a startup development program, where they will be able to present their technologies to industry experts. In addition, if the acceleration program is successful, technology entrepreneurs will be able to attract investments to scale the business.

As noted, Krastsvetmet becomes a partner of the GenerationS accelerator for the second time. In 2016, 250 applications were submitted for participation in Mining & Metals.

In 2017, in addition to Mining & Metals, GenerationS includes five other main areas: improving agricultural efficiency and drug solutions (Agro & MedTech); media, fashion, design and entertainment (Creative); energy (Power & Energy); Banking and Financial Services (FinTech) implementation of smart production and systems (TechNet), as well as Dual Technologies track satellite, which will combine technologies developed in the civilian sphere with prospects for use in the creation of weapons, military and special equipment, as well as technologies and products created by enterprises of the military-industrial complex, suitable for use in the civilian market.
