LG U+ is the South Korean provider of a full range of telecommunication services created in 2010 by merge of three companies: LG Dacom, LG Powercomm and LG Telecom, the become first company started commercial 3G-services using PCS technology (Personal Communication Service). In March, 2012 LG U+ completed creation of the first in South Korea LTE 4G network. The company continues creation of national networks all-IP, developing entertaining and telecommunication customer services.
History
2019: Prohibition on communication with the staff of Huawei
On June 10, 2019 it became known that several large technology companies prohibited the employees any communication with workers of Huawei Technologies because of the sanctions inflicted by the American government on the Chinese producer of telecommunication equipment and mobile devices.
According to Reuters news agency with reference to the people familiar with a situation, all informal contacts with the people working in Huawei were limited in Intel and Qualcomm and also in InterDigital Wireless research company and South Korean mobile operator LG Uplus. Read more here.
