2020: Attraction of $14 million investments

In the middle of September, 2020 the LightForce Orthodontics company submitted the concept of the first-ever system of the briquettes printed on the 3D-printer. The solution LightForce attracted investments in the amount of $14 million from such companies as Tyche Partners, Matrix Partners and AM Ventures. Financing will be used for further scaling of LightForce Orthodontics company and product development.

LightForce Orthodontics uses for 3D - printings the ceramic material comparable on the properties to the normal ceramic briquettes made by a casting method under pressure. However approach of LightForce provides not only durability, but also individual preference of model taking into account unique morphology of each tooth. Most of patients should carry metal briquettes for 12–24 months. According to doctor Alfred Griffin of III (Alfred Griffin III), the founder of LightForce Orthodontics, high extent of personalisation reduces treatment duration approximately by six months.

For achievement of such high level of accuracy the company develops own cloud software of a CAD for assessment of teeth of patients and forecasting of their change eventually. The products LightForce Orthodontics will have to be delivered in an individual order together with the strategy of treatment.

It is expected that the market of orthopedic stomatology considerably will grow by 2026 and will reach $9.72 billion Griffin is sure that to this term the company will pass from research and development directly to accomplishment of orders, but specifies that, despite great demand, terms of entry into the market still remain undecided, production of such difficult device can become a serious call for a command of the company.[1]
