2022: Transfer to Aspack ownership

At the end of 2022, the Udmurt company Aspek-Les (part of the Aspek group) bought a sawmill in the Leningrad Region from the Austrian Mayr-Melnhof Holz. We are talking about the enterprise "MM-Efimovsky," whose production capacity is 380 thousand cubic meters. m of lumber and 57.6 thousand tons of pellets per year.

About 80 million euros were invested in the development of the plant. In recent years, before the sale of the enterprise, a significant part of the products was exported, mainly to Japan, Korea and China. How much Aspek-Les paid for the purchase of the plant is not reported by January 10, 2022.

Aspek bought an Austrian sawmill in the Leningrad region

It is reported that after the change of ownership, the MM-Efimovsky sawmill continues to work in profile. Contracts for timber harvesting with legal entities are carried out. Moreover, as the chairman of the committee on labor and employment of the population of the Leningrad region Alla Astratova said, MM-Efimovsky in the Boksitogorsky district announced that it was planning to recruit new employees.

The company was not called a city-forming company, but in terms of production volumes it is. Most of the products - timber, board, pellets - are exports. Chips and sawdust are domestic consumption, - said the head of the administration of the Boksitogorsky district Sergey Mukhin.

According to the SPARK-Interfax system, Mikhail Pitkevich is the ultimate beneficiary of Aspek-Les LLC by the end of 2022. The Aspek group from Udmurtia unites more than 15 enterprises in the field of construction, automotive business, as well as agriculture. The owner and head of the holding is Izhevsk businessman Viktor Khoroshavtsev.

Mayr-Melnhof Holz is a large manufacturer of lumber and glued wood. The enterprises of the company, founded in 1850, are located in Austria, Germany, the Czech Republic and Sweden.^[1]
