The Vektor plant is included into Almaz-Antey air defense concern.
The history of the plant began in 1811 when in St. Petersburg workshops on repair and production of geodetic tools were organized. In 1941 according to the decision of Council of Defense the plant is transferred to Sverdlovsk and already on October 1, 1941 started release of cameras for aerial photograph which the Soviet army needed.
