Winemaker Alexei Tolstoy gave the name Estate Markoth by the geographical name of the ridge. "Markoth" is translated from Circassian "blackberry," "berry." In the winery, work is underway to improve the territory for receiving guests.

Vineyard area. Geography
The height of the Markoth ridge reaches 650 meters above sea level. Camel Mountain, whose two humps are visible from the project's vineyards and which has become its logo, is the lowest part of the ridge.

The hottest and driest region. Only 300-400 mm of precipitation per year.
Variety set
There are 12 varieties in total: cabernet sauvignon and merlot, syrah and marcelan, ancelotta, saperavi, chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, viognier, aligote, malvasia fragrant and racitels.
