2017: Beginning of activity

On March 7, 2017 Kaspersky Lab announced opening of "A mathematical gymnasium of Kaspersky" based on school No. 10 in the city of Reutov.

The founder of Kaspersky Lab wanted to open educational institution where traditions of the best physical and mathematical schools and also training in technologies of the present and future are combined.

In 20 years of work Kaspersky Lab accumulated unique knowledge in information security field and high technologies. Now experts of the company are ready to impart to grammar-school boys this knowledge and to teach to use them.

Having ended a gymnasium, they will be able to continue education in the best universities of the world and to receive one of future professions. Someone will have to protect people from hackers and cyberterrorists, to develop androids and medical printers for printing of bodies. We want that our graduates became these people, - representatives of a gymnasium of Kaspersky say.

Training program basis — profound studying of mathematics, physics and information science. On these objects each class consisting of 25 people is divided into two groups. So occupations will be the most effective.

Teachers of a gymnasium teach in traditions of the best physical and mathematical schools, and experts of Kaspersky Lab give courses and hold programming seminars, to bases of information security and cryptographic information protection. Separate sections of mathematics and physics will be read by teachers of MSTU of N.E. Bauman.

We cooperate with profile universities (MSU, MSTU of N.E. Bauman, NIYaU MEPhI) and we train grammar-school boys for receipt in them. Pupils will be able to do practical training, and having become students — a training in Kaspersky Lab and to get a job in it and other IT companies. As a result our graduates will have an opportunity to be engaged in interesting, highly-paid and prestigious job in the field of virus and system analytics, content analytics and counteraction of cyber crime, - are sure of a gymnasium.

In March, 2017 the first set of grammar-school boys was announced. Free training, but to come to a gymnasium, ninth-graders should pass entrance tests. Now in educational institution pupils of the Moscow and Moscow region schools are invited.

To become the participant, it is necessary to fill and send the questionnaire till April 28, 2017. The pupil or his parents can make it.

To the potential grammar-school boy will suggest to pass entrance tests: testing and interview. Examinations are held by the Moscow center of quality of education — the independent expert organization guaranteeing the objective and transparent procedure of selection. The first flow of the Mathematical gymnasium of Kaspersky will begin training on September 1, 2017. To this date will be created the two 10th a class.

At the first stage educational process will be constructed based on high educational school No. 10 of the city of Reutov.

Our company actively works with school students, students and young specialists, as much as possible supports talented beginners in the IT industry. We already have training for students, the championship for school students of Kaspersky CyberHeroes, the aid program to Kaspersky Start startups. However we open specialized classes for the first time. Opening of such classes will allow young talents to gain profound knowledge in the technical sphere and to be prepared for entering a higher education institution. In December, 2017 in Reutov school No. 11 with the separate block for a gymnasium should be constructed. In September, 2018 academic year should start already in the new building.

In the summer of 2019 the first release will take place. During the same period the foundation for the residential body near the building of a gymnasium will be laid.
