The company's production capacity is up to 300 million packages per year. The total output in 2014 was 280 million packages (more than 2.8 billion tablets and capsules). Today, more than 20 million packages of medicines manufactured by Medisorb are shipped to pharmacy and medical and preventive institutions in Russia every month.

The production of CJSC Medisorb is equipped with modern equipment of domestic and foreign manufacturers. This makes it possible to produce high-quality, safe and effective drugs in large volumes.

The company has its own laboratories accredited by the Ministry of Health of Russia, the department of science for the development and introduction of various dosage forms into production, the Quality Assurance Department, and a modern warehouse complex.

History

2023: Opening of a site for the synthesis of pharmaceutical substances in Yaroslavl

On August 11, 2023, Medisorb, a generic drug company, announced the opening of a production site for the synthesis of active pharmaceutical substances in Yaroslavl. The project was implemented on the basis of Yaroslavl State Pedagogical University named after K. Ushinsky.

A significant factor for the organization of the site precisely on the basis of the Center for the Transfer of Pharmaceutical Technologies of the YAGPU named after K.D. Ushinsky was the presence in the Yaroslavl region of highly qualified personnel, as well as the competence of the Technology Transfer Center itself, - explained the founder of Medisorb Vladimir Foteev.

Medisorb announced the opening in Yaroslavl of a production site for the synthesis of active pharmaceutical substances

The press service of the company noted that the joint project "Medisorb" and YAGPU for the development and synthesis of active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) will contribute to the implementation of state policy and import substitution in the field of pharmacy. A team of more than 20 highly qualified specialists will work on pilot industrial work on the synthesis of active pharmaceutical substances. To create all the necessary conditions and comply with the license requirements, the premises were reconstructed and the site was retrofitted with the most modern equipment. Over the next three years, it is planned to work out technologies for the production of substances for dozens of names of demanded medicines, Medisorbe reported on August 11, 2023.

In addition to the pharmaceutical development of technologies for the production of active pharmaceutical substances (APIs), the pilot site has other tasks: the transfer of foreign API technologies, and the small-scale production of APIs. Also, a center of competence and scientific knowledge will be created here to train specialists in the field of industrial pharmacy.^[1]
