2024: Clinic Opening

In early August 2024, Medskan opened a new world-class clinic in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. The medical institution, called Medskan Sakhalin, is located in a new building on Leonova Street and is designed to provide residents of the Sakhalin Region with access to international-class medical services.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Governor of the Sakhalin Region Valery Limarenko. The head of the region emphasized the importance of this event for the development of island healthcare, noting that the clinic united high-class specialists, the latest equipment and a branch of a medical university to solve the personnel issue.

Medskan Sakhalin is a full-cycle clinic providing a wide range of medical services, including diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and medical prevention. The basic concept is to ensure continuity of care for the patient from the time of seeking medical attention to full recovery from treatment.

The opening of the clinic will take place in three stages. At the first stage, the outpatient and diagnostic department, equipped with modern equipment, began work. In October 2024, it is planned to launch a laboratory, a day hospital and a rehabilitation department. The final stage is scheduled for early 2025, when a round-the-clock hospital and operating unit will open.

Irina Lieberman, Deputy General Director of the Medskan Group of Companies, Candidate of Medical Sciences, noted that the company already operates in 105 cities in 31 regions of Russia. According to her, Medskan provides international service standards and best practices that were previously available mainly in private clinics.

Highly qualified specialists from leading clinics in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg and Novosibirsk were invited to work at Medskan Sakhalin. Many of them have several medical specializations, which allows for an integrated approach to patient health. Currently, admission is carried out in more than 20 areas, and by March 2025 it is planned to increase the number of specialists to 80 doctors in 30 areas.^[1]
