2023: MR Group bought Meep City
On November 20, 2023, it became known that Epsilon, associated with the developer MR Group, bought Mip City, the developer of the One Tower tower in the Moscow City business center. There is no information on the value of the transaction as of the specified date.
On the balance sheet of Mip City there is a land plot of 0.8 hectares in the 1st Krasnogvardeisky passage in the center of Moscow City. In this area, the construction of the One Tower skyscraper is planned with a height of 444 m (110 floors). If erected, the facility will become the tallest residential building in Europe, as well as the second tallest in Russia as a whole after the Lakhta Center in St. Petersburg (462 m).
The One Tower project was conceived in 2015, and the developer was supposed to be Mosinzhproekt, owned by Stroykomplex. Moscow To develop the architectural and urban planning concept of the object and design documentation, the structure was involved. Capital Group Construction work on the site began in 2018, but was frozen at the pit stage. Initially, the building was planned to house offices and a hotel, but subsequently it was decided to turn the skyscraper into an elite residential complex.
According to the state information system, to ensure urban planning activities, the area of the future object should be 295,674 square meters, of which 125,519 square meters will be directly to apartments (more than 1,600 units). The costs of the construction of the facility can amount to about 60 billion rubles, and revenue from the sale of housing is expected at the level of 120-130 billion rubles.
MR Group has facilities in the Moscow City complex, in particular, the iCity business center. According to available information, MR Group could get a plot in the 1st Krasnogvardeisky passage in exchange for areas in iCity.[1]
