Ministry of Transport and Road Facilities of Murmansk region.

Main objectives of department:

• ensuring formation and implementation of uniform state policy in the field of transport (automobile, railway, water (sea), air), the road activity on highways of regional and intermunicipal value aimed at the social and economic development of Murmansk region;
• ensuring implementation of a system of the measures of state regulation corresponding to modern economic conditions and directed to improvement of organization structures, forms and methods of management, increase in investment activity in the field of a transport complex and road economy;
• ensuring complete and qualitative satisfaction of needs of the population of Murmansk region for passenger traffic on the basis of effective and safe work of the enterprises of motor, railway, water (sea), air transport;
• ensuring creation of conditions for development of services of transport in the territory of Murmansk region;
• coordination of activity of the enterprises and organizations for implementation of strategic directions of development of the region in the field of a transport complex and road economy, assistance of their business activities;
• informing public authorities of Murmansk region and the population on the questions which are within the competence of the Ministry.
