Ministry of Education and Science of Kaluga Region

The Ministry of Education and naukikaluzhsky area is executive authority of the Kaluga region, has the executive and control powers carried to its maintaining. The main tasks of the ministry are:

• participation in the development and implementation of the main directions of the unified state policy in the field of education and science in the territory of the Kaluga region, including the provision of licensing and state accreditation within its competence;
• Regulatory regulation of education and science within the Ministry;
• enforcement of education and science legislation;
• Ensuring state guarantees for public and free pre-school, primary general, basic general, secondary (full) general education, as well as additional education in general education institutions;
• Organization of public free preschool, general education (primary, basic, secondary (full) in the main general education programs for students, pupils with disabilities, orphans and children left without parental care, for persons sent by a court decision to special educational institutions of an open and closed type, institutions of the criminal correction system, for children in need of long-term treatment, in psychological, pedagogical and medical and social assistance in regional educational institutions of the type and type established by federal legislation;
• State support for the education and development of orphans, children without parental care and children with disabilities;
• ensuring constitutional rights and legitimate interests of students, pupils, as well as rights and legitimate interests of pedagogical workers of state educational institutions;
• Organization of primary, secondary and additional vocational education within the Ministry;
• Organization of additional education for children in institutions of regional importance;
• modernization and informatization of educational institutions of the Kaluga region;
• creating conditions for the development of innovative, scientific and research activities of institutions of secondary and higher vocational education located in the Kaluga region;
• logistical support of educational institutions of the Kaluga region;
• ensuring the organizational and economic functioning of the education system in the Kaluga region.
