2021: Activities of the Ministry

As of November 2021, the Ministry's activities cover:

• development of regional industrial production; exhibitions;
• digital transformation of the region's industry;
• development of consumer services in the Tver region;
• implementation of state policy in the field of burial and organization of funeral affairs in the territory of the Tver region;
• development of the oil and gas engine fuel market;
• development trade and catering.

2017: Transformation into Ministry of Industry and Trade

In July, 2017 it became known that the Ministry of the industry and information technologiytversky area is transformed to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.^[1]

2016: On the Ministry of Industry and Information Technologies of the Tver Region

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the Tver Region is the successor of the regional Main Directorate of Information Technology and Communications, which operated until April 2013.

Among the main tasks of the department are the development of industrial production carried out by enterprises of large and medium-sized businesses in the Tver region, creating conditions for the work of organizations of all forms of ownership in the territory of the region in order to increase income revenues to the regional budget, implementation in the region of state policy in the areas of IT, communications, telecommunications, development of the information society and formation of e-government, coordination of activities of state bodies in these areas, etc.
