Mosavtotsteklo invested 0.5 billion rubles in the production of glass for trains to replace foreign products. The press service of the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Science of the Moscow Region announced this in June 2023.
A preferential rate lease agreement was signed with Mosavtosteklo Trading House LLC (in partnership with Mosavtosteklo LLC) in order to expand and modernize the production cluster specializing in industrial glass processing in Dolgoprudny. Due to the expansion of production, an additional 40 workplaces will be created at the enterprise. The planned launch date for production is 2026, said Ekaterina Zinovieva, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Investments, Industry and Science of the Moscow Region.
According to Anna Krotova, Deputy Prime Minister of the Moscow Region, who oversees the property block, for the implementation of this large-scale investment project, the Ministry of Property provided two land plots with a total area of 1.8 hectares, on which a production and warehouse building with an area of 10 thousand square meters will be erected. The company has previously mastered the production of glazing for a wide range of Russian-made railway rolling stock and will increase the production of rolling stock and locomotives of imported models, she added.
According to Mosavtostekl's own data, by June 2023, the company's share in the Russian market for railway glass products is about 30%, and in the field of production of high-tech electrical heating products - more than 65%. The implementation of the investment project will allow the manufacturer to strengthen its position in the specialized markets, the company is confident.
The main consumers of the company's products today are Russian Railways, Transmashholding, Sinara Group and other companies. In addition, Mosavtosteklo fulfills the state defense order, participates in a large number of construction projects on the territory of the Russian Federation.[1]
