Motor (transport) insurance bureau of Ukraine (MTSBU)

The motor (transport) insurance bureau of Ukraine (MTSBU) - the only consolidation of insurers, provides services of compulsory insurance of civil responsibility of owners of land vehicles for the harm done to the third parties.

Main objectives of MTSBU:

• accomplishment of warranty functions on indemnification, caused to the third parties at operation of vehicles, according to the current legislation of Ukraine and the agreements signed by Bureau with authorized organizations of other countries for insurance of civil responsibility;

• ensuring membership of Ukraine in the international system of automobile insurance Green card and accomplishment of the conventional obligations to authorized organizations of other member countries of this system;

• managements of the centralized insurance reserve funds which are created at Bureau for ensuring accomplishment of the functions assigned to it - Fund of protection of the victims, Fund of insurance guarantees

• coordination of work of insurers - his members in the field of insurance of civil responsibility for the harm done to the third parties as a result of the road accident both in the territory of Ukraine, and beyond its limits;

• accomplishment of insurance bonds on compulsory insurance of civil responsibility (including, under agreements of the international insurance) for member insurers of Bureau in case of insufficiency of means and property of these insurers declared bankrupt and/or are liquidated;

• cooperation with bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and other public authorities on compulsory insurance of civil responsibility.
