2023:7% staff cut

On August 10, 2023, it became known that NCC Group, the largest British developer of information security solutions, was forced to reduce the number of personnel. The restructuring is said to be part of a global strategy implemented in response to changing market dynamics and customer demands.

In February 2023, the NCC Group announced the dismissal of 7% of employees in Britain and North America. This initiative affected approximately 125 people. At the same time, at the end of 2022, approximately 2,500 specialists worked in the company around the world. The NCC Group said the decrease in the number of workers will lead to one-time restructuring costs of £4 million ($5.08 million at the exchange rate as of August 14, 2023).

NCC Group forced to cut headcount

The number of employees being cut as part of the second phase of the reorganization, which became known in August 2023, is not reported: the company refused to disclose these figures. But it says a small number of workers will be laid off.

The macroeconomic factors that have formed affect the industry as a whole, so we must lay a solid foundation for the future. Unfortunately, this means that a relatively small number of our talented colleagues will leave the company, and some of them, based in North America, have already left the NCC Group, representatives of the British information security developer said.

The company said in a trading report on the London Stock Exchange that "market volatility has increased substantially and has a significant impact on short-term revenues and profitability from cybersecurity products." It is noted that the current macroeconomic situation and the crisis have seriously hit other major players in the global information security market.[1]
