2022: Foundation
The National Media Group has created its own film distribution company - NMG Film Distribution. This was announced on November 10, 2022.
According to the press service of NMG, NMG Film Rental will be engaged in the distribution of films in cinemas. Full-length films will be available in the catalog, which the company plans to demonstrate in Russia. By November 2022, NMG Film Distribution is in talks with leading producers and filmmakers to add their content to the catalog.
Vadim Smirnov has been appointed General Director of NMG Kinoprokat, who since 2019 has served as Vice President for Cinema Distribution at Disney Studios. Prior to that, for eight years, Vadim Smirnov led the Twentieth Century Fox CIS company. Throughout his work at Fox, Vadim Smirnov was directly involved in the cinema premieres of such Russian films as Night/Day Watch, Irony of Fate. Continuation, "" 9 Rota, "" Heat, "" Turkish Gambit, "" Battle for Sevastopol, "" Balkan Frontier, "" Strict Regime Holidays, "" Union of Salvation "and many others.
