According to him, the plant will provide the need for regular ships on the Moskva River and in the future will allow replacing all ships on it. Sobyanin also expressed the hope that the vessels produced at the shipyard will also be in demand on other rivers and reservoirs of Russia.

The construction of the shipyard for the production of electric ships has been underway since October 2023. The enterprise will be located on the site of the former communal zone on the Chalk Cape. Within the framework of this project, it is planned to organize the production of a full cycle, including cutting of metal (up to 40 tons per vessel), welding of sections (up to five kilometers of welds), painting of the hull (up to 500 square meters of surfaces), installation of equipment and completion (over eight thousand components), testing and commissioning of the vessel with launching. A design bureau will also be created here. The new enterprise also organizes the production of cruise ships up to 90 meters long.[1]
