Ericsson announced Niche AI acquisition

According to him, after mass implementation of a 5G networks there will be a rapid growth of number of devices of Internet of Things and different elements of networks which will need to be managed by means of AI technologies. Such solutions are created in the GAIA center created in 2018.

Exponential growth of number of IoT-devices will mean that traditional methods of management of networks will not be scaled any more. It is that area where self-organizing, selfrepair, self-governed networks using AI and machine learning will be necessary for us. We also consider use of methods of machine learning for optimization of signals between a 5G phone and a base radio for economy of a charge of the accumulator — said Sandzhiv of Draft.

He added that Ericsson looks narrowly also at other companies which it would be possible to come trudging. The potential purposes for purchase are estimated in terms of the volume of business, the main competence, opportunities of an engineering command, cultural compliance and by other parameters by which Niche AI approached.[1]
