Night School Studio is an American independent video game developer and publisher founded by Sean Krankel (former senior game designer at Disney Interactive) and Adam Hines (lead screenwriter for Telltale Games, who was previously a Netflix partner ). The most popular studio game is Oxenfree (released in 2016).

2021: Netflix bought Night School Studio
At the end of September 2021, Netflix acquired its first gaming studio from California, Night School Studio. The value of the transaction is not disclosed.
Night School Studio founder Sean Krankel assured fans of Oxenfree and other studio games that work on Oxenfree II is ongoing, and the company will also "prepare new game worlds."

Netflix Vice President of Game Development Mike Verdu noted that thanks to Night School Studio's commitment to artistic excellence and proven track record, the company is an invaluable partner for jointly developing creative capabilities and creating a Netflix game library.
He added that Netflix plans to introduce "exclusive games designed for any type of player and any level of the game" that will not contain ads or purchases in the application.
In a letter to Netflix shareholders for the second quarter of 2021, the company said it is in the early stages of studying its game model and considers games as another category of content, such as original films, animation and reality shows.
Prior to the deal with Night School Studio, Netflix launched three new casual mobile games in Poland, Italy and Spain, a month after the company released two games that were tie-ins to the Very Strange Affairs series[1]
