Nokia University

Company

In September, 2016 Nokia opened Nokia University based on profile higher educational institutions. The project provides free training of students of older years of a bachelor degree and magistracy. The first project participants are students of Moscow Technical University of Informatics and Communications (MTUCI) and St. Petersburg university of telecommunications of the prof. M.A. Bonch-Bruyevich (SPbSUT).

2017-2018

For transfer in Nokia University students passed preliminary test for the purpose of assessment of level of technical knowledge. The training course will last 2 semester – from November, 2017 to April, 2018, after its termination pupils will receive appropriate certificates.

During training students will have an opportunity to master new technologies IP/MPLS, Carrier Ethernet VoIP LTE, Clouds Solutions NVF SDN and to get practical experience of setup and operation of telecommunication equipment. In addition to technical seminars, the training program includes trainings on time management, project management frameworks, creation of the effective presentations and skills of negotiating.

The university program is implemented in cooperation with Nokia Training center. Technical seminars for students will be held by teachers of Training center, and the staff of Nokia who voluntarily took the initiative of participation in the project will conduct trainings on development of business skills.

The training program in Nokia University and direct communication with experts and specialists of the company will allow students of telecommunication universities to get experience and skills which will help them with future professional life to take a step from theoretical knowledge to practical work.
