2020: Delivery of medical masks to Europe
On September 12, 2020 the Ministry of investments, the industries and sciences of the Moscow region announced that the Nonwoven fabrics enterprise which is based in Bronnitsy situated near Moscow will deliver medical masks to Portugal and Holland for the amount of 718 million rubles. The beginning of shipments of medical products is planned for September, 2020.
The company signed contracts with the assistance of Fund of support of foreign economic activity of the Moscow region. Since 2020 with the assistance of Fund Moscow region entrepreneurs already concluded export contracts for the amount over $20 million.
The fund rendered assistance by drawing up the export contract, provided consultations on currency tariff and non-tariff control and also explained nuances of logistic and customs aspects.
At the end of May, 2020 the governor of the Moscow region Andrey Vorobyov reported that in the region about 3 million medical masks a day are produced.
Because of COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic not less than 40 Moscow region enterprises reorientated production to release of protective masks, 12 producers have the license for production of medical products,
On July 29 it was reported that capacities of the enterprises for production of individual protection equipment are involved in Russia for 70–80%. Data of Minpromtorg of Russia are like that.
By the end of 2020 the size of the market of medical masks in terms of money will increase more than by 57 times - to 20 billion rubles. Such assessment contains in the explanatory note to the draft resolution "About making changes in the annex to features of the address of medical products in the Russian Federation", entered by Minpromtorg.
According to Rosstat and FCS of Russia for 2019 the volume of the Russian market of medical masks was about 350 million rubles, at the same time forecast values of volume of the Russian market for 2020 are 20 billion rubles, the document says.[1]
