Novolazarevskaya - Soviet, Russian Antarctic station. It was discovered on January 18, 1961 during the 6th Soviet Antarctic Expedition. The station is located in the southeastern part of the Shirmacher oasis on the coast of Queen Maud Land, about 80 km from the coast of the Lazarev Sea. To the north of the station extends an ice shelf with a slightly wavy surface ending with the Leningradsky glacial dome. From the south comes the slope of the mainland ice sheet, which already at a distance of 50 km reaches a height of 1000 m. On this slope, several nunataks rise above the ice.
The station conducts research on meteorology, geophysics, glaciology, oceanology.
