2024: Coming under the control of the municipality
The municipal unitary enterprise Novosibirsk Pharmacy Chain will be reorganized into a joint-stock company, while 100% of the shares will come under the control of the municipality. The corresponding decision was made by the commission on administrative reform of Novosibirsk, said the deputy of the city council Anton Burmistrov on June 4, 2024.
As part of the reorganization, part of the premises of the pharmacy chain will be transferred to the balance of the mayor's office. The further fate of these premises will be determined by a special working group. They can be used for the needs of the municipality or sold at auction, which will replenish the city budget.
According to Burmistrov, the Central Pharmacy, which has a prescription department and a license to sell drug-containing drugs, will be preserved. However, the exact number of pharmacies that can be preserved during the reorganization is still unknown. The deputy expressed the hope that the upcoming changes will not have a negative impact on either employees or customers of the pharmacy chain.
Burmistrov noted that currently MUP "Novosibirsk Pharmacy Network" has more than 60 branches. Earlier, Novosibirsk deputies abandoned plans to privatize the enterprise, deciding on the need to preserve municipal property.
According to federal law, state and municipal unitary enterprises are subject to liquidation or reorganization by decision of the founder until January 1, 2025. In case of failure or failure to comply with such a decision, liquidation will take place in court at the suit of the antimonopoly authority.
According to the deputy of the Burmistrov City Council, the reorganization of the Novosibirsk Pharmacy Network into a joint-stock company under the control of the municipality is one of the options for transforming state and municipal pharmacy enterprises as part of bringing their activities in line with the requirements of federal legislation. This step is intended to ensure the preservation of the pharmacy chain in the ownership of the city and the continuation of its work for the benefit of the residents of Novosibirsk.[1]
