2025: Opening of the Technopark

In Naberezhnye Chelny, the launch of the Olympus industrial site, focused on the manufacture of electronic products, took place. The opening ceremony of the facility was headed by First Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Denis Manturov together with the head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. The event was held on May 30, 2025.

According to Interfax"," the participants in the new industrial zone will be companies in the electronic sphere. A division electronic engineers and power sources KAMAZ of PJSC "" will begin work on the basis of the site, which will focus on the creation and manufacture of electronic elements for cargo and passenger transport on hydrogen fuel cells and an electric drive.

Total capital investments in the formation of the technopark exceeded ₽2 billion. Financial support for the project was provided by the federal center, Tatarstan and PJSC KAMAZ. The initiator was the subsidiary of the automobile concern - the Kama Industrial Park "Master."

The financing scheme provides for subsidies from the state budget in the amount of ₽850 million and resources from the treasury of Tatarstan in the amount of ₽508,5 million. KAMAZ PJSC's own funds reached approximately ₽750 million, as reported by the corporate magazine Vesti KAMAZ in July 2024.

The solemn event was attended by the head of Naberezhnye Chelny Nail Magdeev, the head of KAMAZ PJSC Sergey Kogogin, the deputy head of the department of industry and commerce of Russia Albert Karimov. Republican ministers were also present: medicine Marcel Minnulin, farms Midhat Shagiakhmetov, labor relations and social security Elmir Zaripov, industry and trade Oleg Korobchenko.

The head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov indicated that the initiative was implemented with state support, which made it possible to complete the initial stage of construction in the shortest possible time frame. He emphasized the importance of the technopark as a training base and a place for the formation of engineering personnel.[1]
