The Central Omsk airport - one of the oldest Russian airlines, official date of birth of the airport - on May 17, 1929.

The Omsk Airport open joint stock company is large enterprise in Siberian Federal District. Omsk the Central is included into thirty of the best of 330 Russian airports on transportations of passengers, loads and mails.

Geography of routes from the Omsk-central airport (June, 2014): Moscow, St. Petersburg, Khabarovsk, Vladivostok, Irkutsk, Krasnodar, Yekaterinburg, Sochi, Gelendzhik, Rostov, Anapa, Krasnoyarsk, the cities of the Tyumen North and others, the cities of the CIS, the foreign country - Turkey, Greece, Tunisia, Egypt, Thailand, China, the UAE, Germany.

As of 2013 the airport cooperates with many carriers, such as Aeroflot, IrAero, Transaero, S7 Airlines, UTair, Russia, Orenburg Airlines, "PegasusAirlines", "AstraAirlines", AirAstana, Airbishkek and others.

According to the order of the Government of the Russian Federation of March 20, 2008 No. 340-r Omsk the Central it is included in the list of 52 airfields of federal importance necessary for implementation of powers of the Russian Federation.

Performance Indicators

2012

According to the results of work for 2012 at the airport Omsk (Central) 872,224 passengers were serviced that is 19% more than an indicator of 2011, including:

  • on internal aerial lines – 689,882 persons (growth of 15%);
  • on the international aerial lines – 182,342 persons (growth of 35%).

About 550 thousand people from the Omsk airport were transported in the direction of Moscow and St. Petersburg that above an indicator of 2011 for 15%, in the southern direction – Sochi, Anapa, Krasnodar – more than 73 thousand people were transported, growth by 2011 was 70%. Widely the message with the northern cities, such as Salekhard, Surgut, Nizhnevartovsk, Khanty-Mansiysk develops. In this direction from the Omsk airport more than 17 thousand passengers were transported that above an indicator of 2011 for 12%. In the directions Khabarovsk, Southern Sakhalinskbylo transports 4.8 thousand people that above an indicator of 2011 for 76%. The number of the passengers transported in the direction Vladivostok was more than 16 thousand people, more than 6 thousand - to Irkutsk and Yakutsk.

Expansion of network of interregional transportations to which development much attention both on federal, and at the regional level is paid that led to opening of the new directions such as: Novosibirsk, Novy Urengoy, Beloyarsk. At the end of 2012 in this direction about 7.5 thousand people were transported.

The new directions were open also to foreign countries such as: Dubai, Sharjah (UAE), Larnaca, Pathos (Cyprus), Beijing (China). Thanks to it, the number of the transported passengers to foreign countries grew up up to 174 thousand people that above an indicator of 2011 for 34%, including:

  • 60.9 thousand people - to Antalya and 14.6 thousand people – to Istanbul (Turkey),
  • 22.5 thousand people – to Hanover and Düsseldorf (Germany),
  • about 8 thousand people – to Heraklion and Thessaloniki (Greece),
  • more than 36 thousand people - to Egypt, China (Beijing – more than 7 thousand people), Cyprus, Tunisia.

To neighboring countries - Astana (Kazakhstan), Baku (Azerbaijan), Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan) - more than 8 thousand people were transported that above an indicator of 2011 for 51%.

For 2012 in JSC Omsk Airport 7115 aircrafts were serviced (growth by the same period of 2011 was 5%). Total maximum take-off weight was 324,006 tons (height of 12%). At the airport Omsk (Central) it is processed mail and a load of 3,798 tons – growth by 2011 was 4%.

2011

According to the newsletter "Aviatsionny Rynok", on transportation of passengers on internal and international aerial lines for January, 2011 the Omsk airport takes the 27th place, and on transportation of goods, mails - 29 among the airports of Russia.

History

On May 17, 1929 - official date of birth of the Omsk airport. This day from Irkutsk the Fokker Ts-4 airplane which headed further with relay mail for Omsk took off for Novosibirsk. In the first day of work for the Omsk airfield there arrived two airplanes.


In 1930 in Omsk the school of pilots of glider pilots of Omgorosoviakhim opened. There were P-5, ANT-9 airplanes a year later, then - K-5, PO-2.


On May 15, 1931 air passenger traffic Moscow-Novosibirsk by three-motor ANT-9 airplanes opened. Flight duration from Omsk to Moscow 14 hours, from Omsk to Novosibirsk - 3 hours.


1931-1932 - The Omsk aero station becomes nodal. For the first time airplanes from Omsk go to Obdorsk (Salekhard) through Tavda. These years V.S. Molokov, one of the first pilots - Heroes of the Soviet Union developed new airways. Premises of the idle mill of the merchant Yemelyanov became the first buildings of the airport.


1932 - opens the first local airline of Omsk-Bolsherechye-Tara, the first building of air terminal is built, the link of aircraft of special application with subordination to the 210th air squadron of Novosibirsk is organized.


1933 - The Omsk airport is included in service of the winter passenger and mail cargo traffic.


1934 - The Omsk airport becomes nodal on Zapadno-Sibirskaya Route section. The 7th night transport group which became in the period of the Great Patriotic War aviagroup of special application is created.


On August 8, 1936 in Omsk made landing of ANT-25, the executed flight on route Moscow - the island of Udd (Far East). Residents of Omsk met participants of flight V.P. Chkalov, G.F. Baydukov and A.V. Belyakov who overcame in 56 hours 20 minutes 9374 kilometers without landings.


On February 12, 1937 the N-120 airplane of the pilot-polar explorer F.B. Farikh executing flight on route of Moscow-Uellen-Moscow landed in the Omsk airfield. Up to this point in the winter still nobody flew on this route. Pilots visited almost all polar winterings located on coasts of the seas Chukchi, Laptev and Karsky.


In 1941 the distilling aviasquadron which provided a stage from the city of Komsomolsk-on-Amur of 117 distant bombers in a front-line band was created. Many Siberians became heroes of this war. To the Omsk pilot M.A. Makarov the rank of the Hero of the Soviet Union was given.


In 1945-1946 in the Omsk airfield only PO-2 transporting at the same time no more than two passengers landed. Post-war time is mentioned by mastering of the new high-speed aircraft equipment: on airlines Il-12 (1947), An-2 (1950), Il-14 (1954) appear.


On September 15, 1956 in the Omsk airport the first-ever reactive Tu-104 airplane arrived by the first regular flight.


In the 60-70th years of the XX century active construction begins. On October 8, 1958 the new air terminal opened (this building air terminal of local airlines became later). In it the waiting room on 100 places, the restaurant, the operational hall with information bureau, cash desks, a left-luggage office, telegraph were located.


1963 - the airport building in Tara is built. The Tarsky airport serviced 10 localities, brought passengers, mail, spare parts to state farms, the enterprises of the forest industry, rendered invaluable service in an urgent delivery of patients to Omsk and medications, doctors to taiga areas.


1970 - the modern building of air terminal of the Omsk airport expected service of 700 passengers per hour is put into operation.


1991 - volumes of transportations of passengers, mail and loads reached a pica. Sendings passengers without transit reached nearly one million people a year. During the summer period more than 100 runs a day were accepted. The Omsk airport becomes one of the largest on the trunk Moscow - the Far East. The cities of Far North, Central Asia through Omsk are connected to the trunk main. The city is connected more than with 80 cities of the Soviet Union. Further development is gained also by small aircraft. 17 district centers and localities are connected by airlines with Omsk.


In 1994 there is separation of staff of airline into Omskavia airline and JSC Omsk Airport. Later from uniform structure of airline managers of air traffic control are selected.

In March, 1997 the Omsk airport is given the status of international.

In 2000 the light-signal equipment is replaced, one year an overhaul of a runway is made later.

2000 - JSC Omsk airport is awarded with a cup Crystal Nika and also the diploma of the international organization "Partnership for the sake of progress".


2005 - construction of the modern rescue station for service of search and rescue ensuring flights of the Omsk airport is executed. Same year to the Omsk airport the International academy of management gives the rank of the regional leader in the "Highly Effective Organization of Service of Passengers" nomination.


In 2006 within the carried-out reconstruction of air terminal the system of service of passengers at registration changed. Automated systems for registration of passengers are implemented: "Sabre", "SITA", Regina, Dome, Aster. Since 2007 passengers had an opportunity to be serviced at the Omsk airport according to the e-ticket.


In 2006 and 2007 the enterprise is awarded with diplomas of the sixth and seventh All-Russian tender "Russian Organization of High Social Efficiency".


On June 11, 2009 the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev signed the decree on transfer into the ownership of the Omsk region of the stocks of JSC Omsk Airport which are in Federal property.


In 2010 reconstruction of air terminal of internal aerial lines is complete. It allowed to increase service quality of passengers and promoted expansion of route network.


In 2011 new taxi tracks and places of parking are put into operation that allowed to lift limits on the operation mode at service of a number of aircrafts: V-737 (200, 300, 400, 500, 700, 800), V-757, A-319-100, A-320-214. Same year the airport was allowed to acceptance of the airplanes CRJ-200, An-148, Еmb-120.


In 2011 the Omsk Airport open joint stock company is handed the diploma of the winner of competition "The best airport of year of the CIS countries - 2010" in the Dynamically Developing Airport nomination in category of the airports with a capacity of passenger traffic up to one million people a year.


In June, 2012 an overhaul of the international terminal is executed. Along with it in the right wing of air terminal of internal aerial lines the international check point on a departure is organized. These actions allowed to increase service quality of passengers considerably. As a result of their carrying out the intensity of flights on international circuits increased. Same year reconstruction of the station square is performed, in its territory the automated parking complex is put into operation.


In 2012 work on expansion of geography of flights of the internal and international message was carried out. To neighboring countries runs to Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan), Baku (Azerbaijan), Yerevan (Armenia) were open; Foreign countries - to Beijing (China), Dubai (UAE). Opening of the first regular international flight by foreign low-cost by carrier of PegasusAirlines to Istanbul with broad scattering over the countries of Europe took place.


In 2012 goduoao Omsk airport it is awarded with a cup and the certificate of honor as the winner in the "For a Big Contribution to Production Development" nomination of the tender "The Best Airport of Year of the CIS Countries" for 2011 which is carried out by Aeroport Association.


On July 31, 2012 the Omsk Airport open joint stock company is accepted in members of the Omsk Chamber of Commerce and Industry where representatives of business, industrial and financial groups enter.


On February 15, 2013 opening of the museum of history of JSC Omsk Airport on which creation worked both professionals, and employees of the organization, veterans of the Omsk enterprise took place. Creation of the museum was preceded by a lot of work on collection of information, archive documents, photographic materials, ancient things concerning the aviation industry and directly Omsk aviagroup.


On April 23, 2013 the engineering and aviation service the Omsk airport received the European certificate of EASA Part-145 which allows to perform independently maintenance of Boeing 737 aircrafts according to rules and requirements of the European aviation authorities of EASA. On the basis of the received certificate works on search and fault recovery, replacement of components on technical base of service directly in Omsk can be performed.


On May 28, 2013 on the general annual meeting of members of Aeroport Association of Civil aviation the results of the tender "The Best Airport of Year of the CIS Countries" were summed up. Based on 2012 the Omsk airport became the winner in category of the organizations with an annual capacity of transportations from 500 thousand to 1 million passengers.
