2022: Attracting investment from Runa Capital
OpenReplay, a startup that provides developers with tools to find and fix technical bugs on sites, announced on June 28, 2022, it raised $4.7 million in seed funding. The round was led by Runa Capital with contributions from Expa, 468 Capital, Rheinghau Founders and Tekion co-founders. The startup will use the funding received to develop its community, accelerate the implementation of the project and improve the user experience.
OpenReplay combines session playback with powerful DevTools to allow developers to visually understand where users are experiencing problems and fix problems faster. OpenReplay's DevTools enable developers to analyze logs, diagnose errors, track performance, check HTTP load, and log the status of the entire application.
The OpenReplay service can also be used to help customers directly on the site while visiting it, using live session playback and sharing capabilities. The company's solution eliminates the need to create reports, screenshots and communicate with customers by email.
OpenReplay is self-hosted, so data never leaves the company's infrastructure. The security aspect is important for enterprise companies that do not want to expose themselves to security and compliance risks. Access to OpenReplay software for developers is free. Customers of the service pay only for storing session records and other additional services.
Mehdi Osman, CEO and founder of OpenReplay, said in a statement: While other session replay tools focus on marketers and product managers, we focused on those who actually create this product - developers. Providing developers with the ability to work directly, without involving third parties to process user data, significantly changes the situation.[1] |
