The Open Capital fund is created in 2010 for equity participation of the small and medium fast-growing companies from Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan by cost in the range from $10 million up to $250 million.
On May 23, 2011 it became known that the Russian business social network "Профессионалы.ру" attracted $2.5 million from Open Capital. The fund signed the agreement on acquisition of a minority share in Профессионалы.ру network.
Open Capital became the first fund which entered the capital of social network. Two representatives of fund - Frederik Hoffman and Igor Shifrin - joined the companies the board.
As legal advisors at implementation of the transaction the companies acted: Clearly Gottlieb Steen&Hamilton and Laseta Partners, the financial adviser became Pollyanna Capital Partners.
