History

2019: As a part of Open Industry 4.0 — 21 the company

For September, 2019 the alliance Open Industry 4.0 already includes 21 companies from among manufacturing enterprises and software developers. Together they develop the open, compatible and standardized solutions for customers from an industrial segment.

Trends of platform economy and digitalization began to have an impact on the industries a few years ago, within the general concept of the Fourth industrial revolution ("to the Industry 4.0"). At the same time success of scaling and implementation of new business models still restrained heterogeneity of industrial components and systems.

The alliance Open Industry 4.0 was founded with the purpose to accelerate return from digitalization. A task of alliance, as of September, 2019, is creation of an open ecosystem and the environment for interaction of vendors. Thanks to it vendors of information (IT) and industrial (FROM) technologies entered open dialog and began the joint work aimed at providing real business benefits to customers.

The enterprises of processing industry and discrete production already felt the positive impact of digital transformation on production processes and supply and also successfully tested the first digital business models. However variety of protocols, standards and systems slow down platform scaling and monetization of innovations.

Such organizations (specializing in the field of industrial and information technologies) as ifm electronic, Beckhoff, SAP, KUKA, Hilscher, Endress+Hauser and Multivac, entered partnership to solve above-mentioned problems and to promote implementation of the general standards for vendors when implementing projects of digital transformation in production and logistics. The principle of partnership — "Unity and openness".
