The Spanish company Optenet specializing in software development for web security announced in September, 2011 entry into the Russian market with the solution for telecom operators. APL Distribution became distributor of products of the company in Russia.

Core of the solution Optenet for operators is the web filter which blocks traffic from undesirable websites on the party of provider. With its help it is possible to block access to the websites of different orientation, for example, pornographic or extremist, to configure time during which Internet access will be available or unavailable and to use as for "parent control", and access restriction to Internet resources for employees at work. It is also possible to create in real time detailed reports about perfect Internet brauzinge.

As envisioned Internet service providers and operators offer the subscribers web filtering as service in a bundle with other functions. The solution Optenet includes, for example, an antivirus (the licensed antivirus of Kaspersky), fayervol, an antispam, etc.

The cost of services, as well as configuration of service packages, the operator defines, and the developer and the distributor draw interest from sale of services to subscribers.

Optenet entry into the Russian market it was announced in January, 2011. Then the first partner of the company in the country was called the Jet Infosystems integrator. As it was reported, at that time in work the company had several pilot implementing solution Optenet for a telecom.

One of them was Svyazinvest on which side installed the necessary equipment, Kondrashin says. However after consolidation with Rostelecom, according to him, the position of the company to these services changed, and the project was frozen. Now in the company expect that the project will be defrozen. Two other projects did not manage to be implemented even to an equipment installation stage.

It should be noted that traffic filtering as a part of some Internet rates in Russia the largest operators already offer, for example, MegaFon and MTS. In the fall Beeline also is going to join them.
