2024: Pesticide detection in tea
On August 23, 2024, it became known that Rospotrebnadzor demanded to immediately withdraw from circulation the batch of tea brands "Richard," "Greenfield," "Three friendly elephants" and "Roschayprom." The reason for this decision was the discovery of dangerous pesticides in these products that are not provided for by hygienic standards. Read more here.
1994-2001
Orimi Trade was founded in 1994 and quickly achieved success: the creation of its own brands, the constant desire for the highest quality of tea while maintaining democratic prices, justified themselves.
In 2000, in the Leningrad Region, the Nevsky Rapids tea-bearing factory was built and put into operation, equipped with the most modern imported equipment. The presence of its own production allows Orimi Trade to ensure constant quality control of tea products at all stages of its production, and to carry out stable deliveries of a wide range of tea and coffee products to all corners of Russia and to neighboring countries.
Orimi Trade is confidently leading the Russian tea market. The geography of tea supplies includes Ceylon, India, China, Indonesia, Kenya and Vietnam. According to independent studies, the trademarks Princess Nuri, Princess Java, Princess Gita and Princess Kandy account for about 30% of consumer demand. This means that every third cup of tea that is drunk in Russia is produced by Orimi Trade.
A logical development for Orimi Trade was the entry into the market of the second most popular hot drink - coffee. In 1999, natural coffee was released under the brand name "JOCKEY." Later, other trademarks - Regal, Magic Plantation and Monsignor - joined JOCKEY.
Since 2001, the Orimi Trade plant has been operating a workshop equipped with the latest technology for processing green coffee beans, roasting them, grinding and packing finished coffee products into vacuum packaging. A new workshop for packing instant coffee in tin and glass cans is being prepared for commissioning.
JOCKEY occupies about 30% of the consumer market for natural roasted coffee in Russia. To create a wide range of coffee flavors, Orimi Trade purchases green coffee beans from 15 countries around the world, the main of which are Brazil, Bolivia, India, Indonesia and Colombia.
Production
The company produces tea and coffee under the brands Greenfield, "Princess Nuri," "Princess Java," "Princess Gita," "Princess Kandy," "Jockey," "Regal," "Magic Plantation" and "Monsignor."
Tea production
But what do they do at the factory with tea? First of all, it is cleaned - a complex multi-stage filtration system ensures that only selected tea leaves and nothing extraneous will get into the processing - and then to the table with you -.
Then the tea is blended - or mixed. This is done in order to create tea with the optimal ratio of taste, aroma, strength and color of infusion. In addition, the harvest on tea plantations changes throughout the year, and in order for us to always get the same taste when making our favorite tea, several - sometimes up to ten - varieties of tea from different plantations and collected at different times of the year are mixed each time.
All these operations at the Orimi Trade factory are completely mechanized. Smart machines accurately perform and automatically control each operation and the entire process as a whole. Thanks to the modern equipment of the factory, Orimi Trade can quickly respond to changes in consumer demand, develop the range of its products and guarantee consumers the excellent quality of tea, and first of all - its freshness.
Coffee production
Factory coffee processing consists of roasting beans, blending - that is, composing a mixture of several varieties to obtain the desired taste, grinding - if you need ground coffee, and packaging. The taste and aroma of the coffee drink depends on the correct performance of each of these operations: underfilled coffee will be sour, overcooked - bitter, coffee of too small or too large grinding will be unpredictable in brewing. It should be borne in mind that each type of coffee requires its own special roasting conditions. Sometimes even a 2-3 degree change in temperature can ruin coffee. At the Orimi Trade factory, such accidents are excluded - all processes are controlled by computers. Of course, an experienced roaster constantly monitors what is happening, but the computer exercises full control over all processes. Experts say that the combination of "smart" technology and an experienced person gives excellent results: coffee from Orimi Trade always has a rich aroma and a pleasant taste - thanks to proper roasting and grinding. Packaging also plays a special role here, which helps to keep coffee fresh.
