2020: Construction of the new plant for 2.18 billion rubles

In October, 2020 the expert advice of the St. Petersburg Special economic zone considered and approved the project of one of new potential participants of the SEZ. It is about Ortoinvest LLC which submitted the project of production organization of products of medical appointment in the field of traumatology and orthopedics.

At the plant it is going to release products for backbone operations and also elements of endoprostheses of coxofemoral and knee joints. The enterprise needs section of 1.72 hectares for construction of the facility of 5.6 thousand sq.m.

The project is expected 10 years. The beginning of serial production is planned by fourth year of project implementation, an exit at full capacity — by sixth year. The stated investment volume — 2.182 billion rubles. The expert advice of the St. Petersburg Special economic zone agreed to provide such amount of funds.

The company expects to enter with import-substituting products the market of the state order of medical products and also to deliver components to private clinics.

Earlier Ortoinvest acted as the investor of the Russian startup of "a 3D keydzha" whose purpose – application 3D - printings for development and serial production of a line of the implants substituting the damaged intervertebral disks.

By October, 2020 in the territory of the St. Petersburg SEZ (two sections — Neudorf in Strelna and Novoorlovskaya in Primorsky district) as residents 56 companies are registered. The volume of the stated investments into projects — 85.8 billion rubles.

Until the end of 2020 years in the SEZ at least two more residents can appear: in addition to Ortoinvest, it is still Alterna company, by 2022 she intends to build scientific-industrial complex of 5 thousand sq.m. Among products — the radio absorbing coverings, screened rooms, the precision systems of positioning, controllers of management and synchronization, a measuring very high frequency electronics, the software.^[1]
