2025: Digital Model for Grave Search Begins
In April 2025, a digital model of the Ostashinsky cemetery, created on the basis of the Osiris geo-information system, was launched in Yaroslavl The link to the electronic resource is posted on the website of the Yaroslavl "City Cemeteries Service."
According to Kommersant, all existing burials are indicated on the digital model, each of which can be found by the name of the deceased. The search engine also allows you to find a photo of the grave and provides access to the full list of people buried in this cemetery. Unknown graves and their locations are marked in the system.
To form and fill the electronic-digital database of burial sites, a contract was signed in the amount of ₽6,4 million with a Vladimir individual entrepreneur. The contract was terminated by agreement of the parties in March 2025. By this time, the contractor had completed, and the customer paid for the work for ₽5,9 million. Obligations in the amount of ₽500 thousand were terminated.
Initially, the auction for the creation of an electronic-digital database of burial sites of the Ostashinsky cemetery was announced by the authorities of Yaroslavl in July 2024. According to information from the official portal of public procurement, applications for an electronic auction were accepted until July 10, 2024.
The customer, the municipal government institution "Service of City Cemeteries" of Yaroslavl, estimated the cost of work at ₽6,5 million. Initially, the contract was supposed to be fulfilled by the winter of 2024, but the deadlines for the completion of the project were adjusted.
Within the framework of the project, a survey of graves at the Ostashinsky cemetery with their photographic fixation was carried out, orphaned, unaccounted for burials and vacant places were identified. Each burial in the database is classified according to a number of features: family, honorary, single, military, religious, unknown, duplicating.[1]
