The Pacific highest naval school of S.O. Makarov — the higher educational institution of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation located in Vladivostok.
History
2014
In 2014 returned to institute the status of the Highest naval school.
2009
Since 2009 cardinal reforming of military education began, the institute stopped being independent educational institution and became branch of Naval academy of a name of the Admiral of the fleet of the Soviet Union N.G. Kuznetsov (SPb). The structure of institute, the name of faculties changed.
In 2009 for the first time in institute 18 girls on faculty of a radio communication were accepted.
1998
The order of the Government of the Russian Federation of August 29, 1998 No. 1009 "About military educational institutions of professional education Ministries of Defence Russian Federation" school was transformed to the Pacific naval institute of S.O. Makarov.
1954
On April 21, 1954 the name of the Russian naval commander Stepan Osipovich Makarov is appropriated. In 1940 the school was given the status of higher education institution and training of future officers began to take place according to programs of higher educational institutions. The school began to hereinafter be referred to the Pacific highest naval school (TOVVMU).
