On April 10, 2023, the prosecutor's office of the Penza region announced the approval of the indictment in the criminal case of giving a bribe on an especially large scale to the head physician of the oncological dispensary. The entrepreneur tried in this way to provide preferences to his companies when purchasing medical equipment and medical products.

According to investigators, in January 2023, the accused, who was the actual head of a number of commercial organizations, transferred funds to the intermediary in the amount of more than 2.4 million rubles.

The funds were intended to be presented as a bribe to an official - the chief physician of the state budgetary healthcare institution "Regional Oncological Dispensary" - for creating preferences for organizations controlled by the businessman when purchasing medical equipment and medical devices as part of the implementation of the national project "Healthcare." We are talking about a contract for the supply of medical equipment and chemical reagents, as well as the commissioning of equipment and training in the rules for the operation of dispensary specialists.

The intermediary acted under the control of law enforcement agencies. After the transfer of funds, the accused was detained. An employee of the dispensary acted as an intermediary, said Tatyana Makhnitskaya, senior assistant to the head of the regional department of the TFR.

According to the press service of the prosecutor's office of the Penza region on April 10, 2023, in the near future the criminal case will be sent for consideration to the Oktyabrsky District Court of Penza. At the same time, the names of the defendants in the case were not disclosed.

The head of a commercial organization did not admit guilt in the commission of the incriminated act. During the investigation, he was held in custody.[1]
