2025: Completion
By August 2025 Perm , the largest sports facility in the region, a multifunctional arena in the DKJ microdistrict worth ₽20 billion, is nearing completion. The five-story complex with a total area of almost 80 thousand square meters will be able to accommodate more than 10 thousand spectators and will meet world standards for holding competitions at the Russian and international levels. The project is being implemented using the mechanism of public-private partnership under the control of JSC Perm Territory Development Fund"."
According to Kommersant, the construction of the multifunctional arena is supervised by the Perm Territory Development Fund JSC on behalf of Governor Dmitry Makhonin. The sports facility will be the largest in the region and will be able to host not only sports competitions, but also cultural events.
General Director of the FRPK Yuri Alikin noted that the fund is one of the institutions for the development of the region and implements large infrastructure projects, including sports facilities. According to him, in addition to the construction of a multifunctional arena in the DCJ, the fund also oversees the construction of an ice arena in the Iva microdistrict.
The construction of the ice arena in the Iva microdistrict is at the final stage. The area of the sports facility is 9 thousand square meters. Contractors complete the interior decoration of the premises and the improvement of the adjacent area.
A feature of the ice arena in Iva is the placement under one roof of two ice fields - large and small. The small arena is designed for training children's teams, the large arena is designed for competitions and training men's and youth teams, as well as mass skating.
The building will have the only track in the Perm Territory for training and curling competitions. The complex will be equipped with stands for 200 seats, gyms, changing rooms and rooms for the coaching staff.
The Minister of Physical Culture and Sports of the Perm Territory Tatyana Chesnokova described the ice arena as an important and popular object for the regional capital. According to her, this is the first indoor complex in the actively developing part of Perm.[1]
