2023: Opportunity for students to undergo vocational guidance, production and pre-diploma practice at the "Complex"
On December 6, 2023, the Complit company entered into a partnership agreement with the St. Petersburg State University of Railways of Emperor Alexander I (PGUPS).
As part of the partnership, university students will be able to undergo career guidance, production and pre-diploma practice, and will also have the opportunity to find employment at the enterprise. PGUPS will be able not only to provide its graduates with employment in a large technology company, but will have the opportunity, together with COMPLIT, to train personnel for additional vocational education programs at the university, as well as conduct research on the information technology market.
Attracting young personnel to the company has a number of advantages. On the one hand, this will allow management to better take into account the motivation of novice specialists and work out the processes of their adaptation, on the other hand, it will make it possible to prepare the student for real tasks and "grow" an employee whose competencies meet the needs of the market.
In general, the agreement is designed to reduce the distance between the current requirements for specialists in the labor market and educational programs of universities. This will allow students to gain practical skills while still studying at the university, decide on professional interests and facilitate the search for work at the end of the university.
During the internship, trainees will be able to try themselves in different areas of work of the system integrator and will have the opportunity to deeper master specific areas from the world of technologies. In particular, these are building management systems and supporting IT infrastructures, automating business processes, managing IT services, implementing and maintaining CRM and ERP, and technical consulting.
Active cooperation of higher educational institutions with companies from the IT industry will not only improve the quality of graduate training, but also overcome the shortage of specialists. The Russian labor market still lacks qualified personnel, so we want to contribute to the transfer of experience and knowledge to students and graduates. We not only contribute to ensuring that education meets the needs, but also strive to make it easier for the student to choose the path of his professional development during the training stage. Over 30 years of work, we have accumulated vast experience and are glad to share them both with novice specialists within the framework of internships and with university teachers who, in the context of digital transformation, will face the need for high-quality retraining, - said Olga Elenevskaya, head of the personnel department at COMPLIT. |
Last year was a starting point in the field of digitalization of the university. A project office for the digital transformation of the university was formed. In addition, we have already updated server capacity, purchased data storage systems and began to build corporate data storage facilities, "said Sergey Ermakov, head of the Information and Computing Systems Department at PGUPS. |
1809: Establishment of the Institute of Railway Engineers, designed by Spanish engineer Augustine Betancourt
The main goal of the Institute of Railway Engineers created in St. Petersburg was formulated by its future leader A.A. Betankur in a note to the project of this educational institution:... " to supply Russia with engineers who, right after leaving the institution, could be appointed to carry out all work in the Empire. "
The institute was created as part of the Corps of Railway Engineers in accordance with the highest manifesto of Alexander I of November 20, 1809. The first inspector of the institute was Lieutenant General Betancourt.
Among the first 30 pupils of the institute were the sons of the former Russian ambassador to Spain Muravyov-Apostol, future Decembrists Sergei and Matvey.
Betancourt managed to collect an excellent team of teachers, an extensive library, a little later to create a museum - the institute becomes one of the most respected and prestigious educational institutions in St. Petersburg.
