Petrotel-LUKOIL Oil Refinery is oil refinery of a fuel profile.
It is located in the city of Ployeshti (Romania), in 55 km from the city of Bucharest.
History
Processes oil of a sort Yurals (the Russian export mix) and oil from the Romanian fields.
It is put into operation in 1904. In 1999 the plant was a part of the Lukoil group.
In 2001 gasoline production of AI-98 and low-sulphurous diesel fuel (no more than 0.035%) is developed. In 2001 the plant was stopped on reconstruction (installations of primary oil refining, hydrotreating, reforming, coking, catalytic cracking, gas fractionation and isomerization are upgraded, installations of hydrotreating of gasoline of catalytic cracking, receiving hydrogen are constructed).
In 2004 the plant is brought into operation.
In 2006 unit for production of MTBE/TAME additives is entered.
In 2007 the 25 MW turbine generator is started.
In 2009 reconstruction of installations of hydrotreating of diesel fuel, catalytic cracking, hydrotreating of gasoline of catalytic cracking and production of MTBE/TAME and also the vacuum block of AVT-1 installation was complete. The construction of unit for hydrogen production was completed that provided a possibility of production of fuels of Euro-5 standard.
In 2010 2 new coke cameras of installation of the slowed-down coking are mounted.
In 2011 production of propylene with sulfur content less than 5 ppm is organized.
In 2012 reconstruction of the amine block is complete. The system of the improved management on AVT-3 installation allowing to increase a products exit is implemented.
In 2013 projects on increase in extent of recuperation of C3+ from a dry gas of catalytic cracking, on modernization of installation of catalytic cracking are complete, upgrade of treatment facilities is complete. Overhaul of the enterprise with reconstruction of installation of catalytic cracking is made and replacement of a catalytic system of installation of hydrotreating of diesel fuel is executed that allowed to pass to the bezmazutny scheme of production and it is essential to increase depth of processing and the output of light oil products.
