History
2024: Launch of a drug manufacturing plant in St. Petersburg for hundreds of millions of rubles
On June 21, 2024, it became known that a new drug production plant of Pharmacor Production was opened in St. Petersburg. The Governor of St. Petersburg, together with the Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko, launched the technological launch of the production site, the construction of which began in December 2022.
According to the Committee on Industrial Policy, Innovation and Trade of St. Petersburg, the new site is located in the Primorsky District and was built with active support at the federal and city levels. The plant received a license from the Ministry of Industry and Trade for the production of medicines in early 2024.
The new plant will produce both already known and new drugs unique to the Russian market. It is planned to start with molecules such as rivaroxaban, dabigatran, ursodeoxycholic acid and rebamepid. Documents for the transfer and inclusion of new production in the registration certificate to the Ministry of Health have already been submitted for anti-vessel powders, which confirms the positive decision received in June.
According to the Committee on Industrial Policy, Innovation and Trade of St. Petersburg, the total area of the building is about 10 thousand square meters. There are production and storage facilities, as well as a laboratory. R&D The plant is equipped with modern air purification systems, maintaining humidity and pressure levels in accordance with GMP standards.
Pharmacor Production is a full-cycle pharmaceutical production producing medicines, dietary supplements, cosmeceuticals, special nutrition and sanitary and hygienic products. The main task of the company is to make high-quality modern medicines available to the population. According to the Committee, 80% of the items produced by the company are included in the list of vital and essential drugs (VEDs).
Pharmaceutical company "Pharmacor" was founded in St. Petersburg in 1991. Today "Pharmacor" is one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in Russia, including the retail network and the production complex "Pharmacor Production." Pharmacor pharmacies from seven Federal Districts of Russia are already operating in six. The chain has about 300 own retail outlets in 35 cities of Russia.[1]
Today, the Pharmacor chain is one of the three leaders among pharmacy chains in Russia in terms of retail turnover in the commercial market segment according to the rating published by RBC in the 1 half of 2007.
