JSC Polema — global manufacturer of products from chrome, molybdenum, tungsten, metal powders and composition materials.

For October, 2018, the company works at the world markets of the electrolytic refined chrome and the sprayed targets from chrome of high purity, rolling and products from molybdenum and tungsten, high-current contact materials. Polem sells products in the domestic market, in China, Taiwan, Korea and 30 more countries, including in the USA, the countries of EEC, South America and Southeast Asia. The share of the sprayed targets and the evaporated cathodes from high-pure chrome of production of JSC Polema in the world market reaches 30%.

The Polema plant is located in Tula region and enters into structure of Industrial metallurgical holding. As of October, 2018, the company has representations in Europe and Southeast Asia.

History

2018: Start of production of metal powders for 3D - printing

At the end of September, 2018 the Polema plant located in Tula region started the Russia's first production of spheric metalpowders for 3D - printings and drawings special coverings. As representatives of the plant reported on September 28 TASS, investment volume exceeded 450 million rubles.

The plant the first in Russia started production of spheric powder for additive technologies - 3D - printings, drawings special coverings and also castings of different parts under high pressure. The equipment is purchased within the project implemented with assistance of Fund of development of the industry — said in Polema company.

The purchased equipment allows to produce powders of high degree of sphericity and purity on impurity.

Earlier similar products were made only by two companies in the world, and similar installations in the world was only seven. The advanced equipment will allow us to substitute completely import of metal powder for additive technologies and drawing coverings — representatives of the plant reported.

Earlier the company mastered production of powders for 3D - printing of spare parts of the sea vessels working in the conditions of the Arctic, different nodes in pumps, pipelines, drilling rigs.^[1]

2004: Entry into the structure of Industrial metallurgical holding

in 2004 the Polema plant passed under management of Industrial metallurgical holding.
