2025: Launch of the second stage of the plant. Investments - 20 billion rubles
In November 2025, the Polyplast group of companies launched the second stage of the complex for the production of high molecular weight thermostable polymers in the city of Novomoskovsk, Tula Region. The volume of investments in the project amounted to ₽20 billion.
The capacity of the new complex reaches 130 thousand tons of products per year. 700 new jobs have been created at the production site. The first stage of the complex was put into operation in August 2024.
The production of high-molecular weight thermostable polymers will become one of the most modern in Russia. The new complex will meet the needs of the domestic market and completely replace imported analogues of products. Polymers have a wide range of applications in the construction industry.
Before the solemn launch of the complex, the company's specialists conducted a tour for guests of honor in the production complex. The delegation visited the new unit of polymerization and product modification, the logistics point of shipment and packaging of products, as well as the workshop for preparing solutions.
Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia Mikhail Yurin noted that the company's products meet the needs of key sectors of the economy. According to Mikhail Yurin, this is construction, mechanical engineering and the production of consumer goods. The Deputy Minister stressed that the launch of the new stage expands opportunities for increasing export potential to friendly countries. Mikhail Yurin said that the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia sees its key task as supporting the backbone enterprises of the Russian industry to achieve technological sovereignty and modernize the country's production base.
The complex is fully automated and has no analogues in Russia. Production lines meet international quality standards. The technology for producing the polymer base was developed at the scientific center of the Polyplast company. The development opens up new opportunities for the development of the Russian industry, ensuring the production of a popular and competitive product with high consumer properties.[1]
2024: High Molecular Weight Polymers Launch
In August 2024, the production of high molecular weight polymers was launched in the Tula region, the total investment in which amounted to about ₽17 billion. The new production complex, located on the basis of the Polyplast Novomoskovsk enterprise, will be an important contribution to the development of the chemical industry in the region and will ensure the creation of more than 1,000 jobs.
According to TASS, the project for the production of high molecular weight polymers, characterized by high thermal stability and durability, was implemented with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia. The opening of the first stage of production marked a new stage in the development of the domestic chemical industry. Polyplast's products are in demand in industries such as metallurgy, oil production, construction, light industry and household chemicals, which confirms the importance of this project for the country's economy.
In theRussian Minister of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov emphasized the importance of this project in the context of national tasks to strengthen Russia's technological leadership. He noted that the launch of the production of high molecular weight polymers is an example of the successful implementation of the state strategy to create competitive products that can occupy a leading position in the world market.
Alexander Shamsutdinov, head of the board of directors of the Polyplast group of companies, added that the company is opening new horizons for development by creating products that meet the highest world standards. Thanks to this project, Polyplast will strengthen its position as a backbone enterprise in Russia, which is confirmed by the high demand for its products in various industries.
Acting Governor of the Tula Region Dmitry Milyaev noted that the chemical industry plays a key role in the region's economy, and the launch of a new polymer production will become a powerful driver for further growth.[2]
