2024: High Molecular Weight Polymer Production Launch
In August 2024, the production of high molecular weight polymers was launched in the Tula region, the total investment in which amounted to about ₽17 billion. The new production complex, located on the basis of the Polyplast Novomoskovsk enterprise, will be an important contribution to the development of the chemical industry in the region and will ensure the creation of more than 1,000 jobs.
According to TASS, the project for the production of high molecular weight polymers, characterized by high thermal stability and durability, was implemented with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia. The opening of the first stage of production marked a new stage in the development of the domestic chemical industry. Polyplast's products are in demand in industries such as metallurgy, oil production, construction, light industry and household chemicals, which confirms the importance of this project for the country's economy.
In theRussian Minister of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov emphasized the importance of this project in the context of national tasks to strengthen Russia's technological leadership. He noted that the launch of the production of high molecular weight polymers is an example of the successful implementation of the state strategy to create competitive products that can occupy a leading position in the world market.
Alexander Shamsutdinov, head of the board of directors of the Polyplast group of companies, added that the company is opening new horizons for development by creating products that meet the highest world standards. Thanks to this project, Polyplast will strengthen its position as a backbone enterprise in Russia, which is confirmed by the high demand for its products in various industries.
Acting Governor of the Tula Region Dmitry Milyaev noted that the chemical industry plays a key role in the region's economy, and the launch of a new polymer production will become a powerful driver for further growth.[1]
