2023: Top manager of Chernogolovka bought Prime Kraft
In mid-May 2023, it became known about the sale of Prime Kraft to the Principle of Healthy Lifestyle company, which is headed by Alexei Chetvergov, chairman of the board of directors of Chernogolovka Group of Companies. The corresponding entry was entered into the Unified State Register of Legal Entities (USRUL) on April 18, 2023.
Kommersant drew attention to the deal. According to the newspaper, before the sale of Prime Kraft, the company was owned by Serafima Maksimova and Olga Nesterova. The financial terms of the contract are not disclosed.
Prime Craft has been developing and producing sports nutrition under the main Prime Kraft brand at facilities in the Leningrad Region since 2015. The range includes protein bars, cookies, peanut butter, chips under the Wowbar and Primebar brands, vitamins, supplements, etc. According to Fitness Data estimates based on financial statements, Prime Kraft entered the top five Russian sports nutrition manufacturers by the end of 2022.
Among the assets of the Principle of Healthy Lifestyle is the Botanica company, which produces plant products under the Eggan brand, a manufacturer of cosmetics and household chemicals under the Naturalistyka brand, a supplier of dietary supplements and vitamin-mineral complexes Plantago.
On the occasion of the transaction between the companies "Principle of healthy lifestyle" and "Prime Kraft," the newspaper interviewed market participants. Yulia Kuzmina, chairman of the National Association of the Sports Nutrition Industry, said that the move of foreign brands from Russia did not affect the sports nutrition market, but the demand for such products has been declining in many countries in recent years, including Russia, due to a decrease in the popularity of bodybuilding. The market is transforming towards dietary supplements and products for a healthy lifestyle, she said. businessmen see the potential for market growth by increasing demand for healthy lifestyle products, as well as replacing imports of raw materials and products from China, the United States and the EU.[1]
