2025: Nationalization of the Mill
The Federal Property Management Agency received a 100% stake in Pyatigorsk Dairy Plant LLC and a 40.45% stake in the associated agricultural firm Kaishev Village. The enterprises previously belonged to brothers Vladimir and Yuri Kaishev on a parity basis.. The corresponding changes to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities were made on September 23, 2025.
According to Interfax, Vladimir Kaishev is the former chairman of the government of Karachay-Cherkessia. He was arrested as a defendant in a criminal case on the creation of a criminal community. Yuri Kaishev was previously the owner of 40.45% of the agricultural farm. Nationalization took place as part of a court decision at the request of the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia.
In early August 2025, the prosecutor's office of the Stavropol Territory announced the approval of the indictment in a criminal case. The defendants are the Kaishev brothers, the former general director of the dairy Konstantin Sukharev and the ex-director of the department of the Ministry of Economic Development Igor Khranovsky.
The accused are held under various articles of the Criminal Code, depending on the role of participation. The charges include organizing a criminal community, stealing from a gas pipeline, fraud, extortion and abuse of office. All crimes were committed on an especially large scale by an organized group.
According to investigators, Vladimir Kaishev actually led a number of large agro-industrial enterprises of the Stavropol Territory. To expand the business, the former official, along with his brother, illegally acquired ownership of agricultural land in 2015. The value of illegally obtained land exceeded ₽2 million.
Vladimir Kaishev and Igor Khranovsky extorted 50% of the company's shares from the head of the mineral water bottling plant. The value of the required shares was more than ₽1,1 billion. Kaishev threatened to use violence against a representative of the plant. With the help of Khranovsky, he exerted pressure through control and supervisory authorities.[1]
